New House Builds
Ryan Wilkinson Builders has a large amount of experience building new houses. We can co-ordinate with your architect and any other consultants involved to ensure everything is taken care of to the highest standard. Alternatively we can meet with you before you have any plans, and recommend an architect and any other consultants required for the type of site and your vision.
No site or idea is too difficult. One of the house build projects we have completed was on a very steep site in Remuera. We co-ordinated with the geotech engineer and earthworks contractor to ensure everything was in place when constructing the foundations, to be able to make the house perfect for our client. There was also a swimming pool on this site, in a location that was above a water main. There are certain restrictions when working or building above a water main, and in this case the pool was cantilevered to meet the required clearance cover above the main.

House Renovations
You name it, we have done it. House renovation projects completed by Ryan Wilkinson Builders to date have included moving a house, building a basement, then moving the house back and completing a full renovation, the demolition of all but four walls of a house, then a full renovation including adding a second storey, extensions, and new self contained garages and garage conversions.
One of the most interesting house renovation projects we completed was on an old 3 bedroom villa in Kingsland. We moved the house to the back of the site, then dug out underneath to create a basement rumpus and bedroom, with kitchenette and bathroom that could be closed off from the main house if necessary. We then moved the house back to its original position and completed a full renovation including an addition at the rear of the house with a state of the art kitchen and open plan living looking out at the large section which we leveled and landscaped for the perfect finish.

Excavation
We have always completed the excavation works for all of the projects we work on which provides you with continuity of contractor and having to communicate with only one person. We have recently added a 4.5 tonne excavator to the team and are keen to acquire more excavation equipment in order to provide more security and pass on the cost savings to you.
Recent projects completed with the new excavator include a swimming pool and the excavation under a house. The swimming pool was built over a water main and therefore required precise drilling and cutting for the cantilever pool to met the clearance of the main. The house excavation involved gradual cutting and propping for the construction of a downstairs rumpus, bedroom and garage with internal access.

Some of the more unique projects that we have completed have included an infinity pool, a cantilevered pool, the conversion of a historical fire station into a house, house reclads and landscaping finishes with customized outdoor furniture and cookware.
